Conejo YMCA Seeking Before and After School Childcare Aides

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Aug. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- The Conejo Valley YMCA is currently seeking young adults to staff its before and after school childcare sites in Thousand Oaks and Moorpark.

         The Conejo Y offers childcare at MATES Charter School in Thousand Oaks and Peach Hill and Mountain Meadows elementary schools in Moorpark. Aide positions offer flexible hours in the mornings and afternoons. They require CPR/First Aid certification. The minimum age requirement is 18.

         The Y is also looking for childcare aides for its Kids’ Zone, located at the Conejo Y (4031 N. Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks). Kids’ Zone is the Y’s on-site childcare for children of parents who are participating in YMCA programs or working out. The positions also require CPR/First Aid certification. The minimum age requirement is 16.

         “Since hours are flexible, we can work around school schedules,” says Haley Swenson, the Y’s program director. For applicants without CPR/First Aid certification, the Y can arrange for training.

         Other positions available are childcare assistant site director and site director. These require a minimum of 12 post-secondary early childhood or child development units.
