ACM Helps Startup High Realize its Education Reform Ambitions

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Aug. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- ACM (A Cultivated Mindset) has joined hands with Startup High the organization that envisages finding holistic solutions to problems that beset the education system. They endeavor to do this by teaching students to think like entrepreneurs. This is achieved by taking teenagers and high schoolers on business tours and getting them to interview entrepreneurs, undertake community service as well as learn the art of pitching to an organization. All of this forms a part of their summer experience.

Startup High is no run of the mill venture.  This is an attempt to bring about a reform in the way education is being imparted these days and inculcate a spirit of true discovery and learning that is only possible in a real life scenario. It does this by reaching out to teenagers and high schoolers through their schools and educational institution, asking them to enroll for the programs of their choice. These cover a host of vocational and social activities, events and workshops. The logo of the Startup High aptly shows a rocket taking off depicting how the young students who enroll soar in their endeavors in life on account of the exposure they receive.

The organization has stellar expertise in influencing the lives of impressionable youngsters in the most transformative ways. Scott Kelly the founder spearheads the endeavors and is ably assisted in this by other key members of the team- Patrick Hill from ACM who mentors the youngsters and the redoubtable Liz Tracy from HQ Raleigh & Think House. There are a number of other high profile achievers from myriad fields who render yeoman service as mentors. Then there is critical support from partners like Kramden Institute Inc., Partners for Youth, Public School Forum, American Underground, Packard Place and Raleigh. Together they provide support by way of offering space as also expertise and money

Scott Kelly spends a considerable amount of time publicizing the considerable achievements by speaking at high schools and civic groups.
