Acquires Broadcast Rights for Off Network Series “Magic Cellar,” as seen on HBO Family Channel, now Launch TV

NYC— For Immediate Release August 12, 2014. Launch TV Network Company, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Freedom Energy Holdings, Inc., acquires Broadcast rights via Echelon Studios, for the Off Network Series “Magic Cellar,” as seen on HBO Family Channel now seen on Launch TV!  Home Box Office (HBO) had acquired Magic Cellar for broadcast in the United States, making it the first African animated television series to be acquired by a major American network. We are thrilled that the series has found a new home on Launch TV!

Magic Cellar will premier on Launch TV weekly, Saturday mornings at 10:30am Eastern Standard Time. Magic Cellar is the first animated series based on African culture. The series marks the first time Africa's children will see themselves reflected in an animated series. The series celebrates Africa's culture and traditions, while promoting reading as exciting and adventurous. The stories are based on African folktales, partially collected from interviews conducted with elders in villages across South Africa.

The viewing area for Launch TV has expanded to over 23 US markets on local TV and/or cable, on Roku, and via iPoint TV on iPad, iPhone, Android, Smart TV devices in the U.S., reaching over 30+ million homes; and now included in the channel line-up for ZAAPTV and MAAXTV on channel 1907.  Launch TV has also expanded via NetRange, one of the largest Smart TV Portal service providers throughout Western Europe, integrating Launch TV Network into Smart TV’s and Smart TV devices, with a potential reach of 8 million.
