PRLog - Aug. 12, 2014 - IRVINE, Calif. -- This summer brought glimmering colors to Mammoth Lakes, as local Ashley Brussel opened the region’s first Pedego Electric Bikes store, appropriately, on July 4. It is the 50th Pedego store to open worldwide and one of the handful that are owned by women. Pedego electric bikes, known for their chic styling and brilliant hues, were well-received by thousands at the annual holiday parade — leading Pedego Mammoth Lakes to become one of the most popular hotspots in town. Brussel is thrilled with the public’s response. “We’ve been renting out all available bikes early each morning,” she said at a recent gathering of Pedego fans. “And our popularity has grown even more during our first summer. People love these bikes.”
Pedego electric bikes take riders on fabulous outdoor adventures.
Brussel offers a variety of Pedego electric bikes for sales, rentals and tours. When it comes to rentals, she focuses on the famous Pedego Interceptor, a lively electric bike that comes with a powerful 48-volt lithium ion battery to conquer hills and zip along at 20 miles per hour. Riders can enjoy up to 30 miles distance on one charge with easy pedaling due to the bike’s highly regarded Pedal Assist function. “You can ride your bike instead of the Trolley,” Brussel said. “Pedal Assist flattens the hills and makes you feel like a kid again.”
Other models offered by Pedego Mammoth Lakes include the colorful Comfort Cruisers. These durable cruisers operate with a throttle and six gears to power riders over hills with ease and plenty of stylish fun. Due to the Pedego electric bikes’ popularity, Brussel recommends calling (760) 709-5809 to make reservations. Brussel is so sure that her bikes will make customers smile that she offers a guarantee. “If you can’t make it up any hills, just bring it back and we’ll give you a refund,” she said.
Located in the heart of Old Mammoth, riders can enjoy adventures around town and beyond, into the forest. The Mammoth Lakes Trail system leads riders up to the scenic Lakes Basin, out to the Inyo National Forest, and all the way to the Devil’s Postpile National Monument.
Brussel is considering renting Pedego bikes during the winter, each with a Bike-Board—a mini snowboard that attaches to the front wheel of the bike. “I was amazed when I saw a video of this,” she said. “You use the throttle to get up hills. And then you carve all the way downhill. So much fun!”
