STW Receives BAYERNS BEST 50 Award

On 29 July 2014, Katharina and Wolfgang Wiedemann, Managing Directors of Sensor-Technik Wiedemann GmbH (STW), accepted the BAYERNS BEST 50 Award from Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs Ilse Aigner. Fifty companies from across Bavaria were honored with the distinction for demonstrating especially strong growth and an above-average increase in recent years in terms of sales and the number of employees. This year marks the third time that STW has received the coveted award. Prior to 2014, STW also received the distinction in 2002 and 2008.

The award honors high levels of innovation, corporate responsibility and the willingness of Bavarian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to provide vocational training. “The momentum and innovative strength of the Bavarian economy would be unthinkable without the work of SMEs,” Aigner said. “Nearly 40 per cent of total taxable turnover in Bavaria comes from SMEs. They create jobs and form the basis of the high standard of living in Bavaria.”
