Till now in all the luxury trains that operate in India, Palace-on-wheels is the only luxury train which take their guests to Jaisalmer. All kind of rides such as elephant ride, horse ride, camel ride and many more attractions are provided to the guests and royal treatments are given throughout the journey. They also have their own catering and house-keeping. They have proper health check-ups for their guests while they are on journey and in case of any emergency need the doctors are provided on call at the very next station.

Proper security measures are also taken for the guests that are travelling in the luxury train. A team of eight security guards have been hired from the Railway Security Welfare (RSW) who travels with them 24*7. Also proper security lockers are provided to the guest so that their personal belongings are kept safe.
