PRLog - Aug. 11, 2014 - NEPTUNE, N.J. -- Neptune, NJ. The Jersey Shore Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has put out a new challenge. They have announced: “Are you absolutely the worst singer? Do your friends yell at you when you jam out in the car? Does your cat cringe each time you belt Taylor Swift lyrics in the privacy of your own home? If so, we want to pay you $500.”
Yes you read that right; Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol™ is giving away $500 to the worst singer in the world. They proclaim that – “Talent is great and will get you far in life, but pure inability and guts can get you there too.”
In addition to getting to audition for the chance to win a $10,000 Grand Prize for being the best singer, contestants are getting the chance to compete for prizes for “Absolutely the Worst”, “Silliest”
Contestants can simply register online for a $30 fee at www.jerseyshorekaraokeidol.com and upload a YouTube video of themselves singing. Jersey Shore CVB’s Bob Hilton smiles and says, “Get your friends who hate your voice to support your journey to fame and fortune by asking them to ‘like’ the video. They can make fun of you as always, but this time you can get paid for it!”
He continues, “Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol™ is an international singing competition that aims to find the best, and the worst, karaoke singers. With over $25,000 in cash and prizes, Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol™ is the hottest competition out there right now. Our fun and entertaining contest is different than the old boring singing shows you are used to seeing, because of the different prize categories. We want EVERYONEto be able to participate—
