The Little League Softball World Series is a 27 game series with four teams from visiting countries and six teams representing U.S. regions. The four world teams are Europe/Africa, Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific. The six U.S. teams include West, East, Southwest, Central, and the host team, Oregon District 4.
The three baseball/softball fields located on the Alpenrose grounds are in first-rate condition and have been in use since Henry Cadonau, the Founder of Alpenrose Dairy, built them for his grandchildren over 58 years ago.
“Family is very important to us at Alpenrose. Hosting the Little League World Series incorporates a great family event and the opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talent,” said Carl Cadonau Jr., President of Alpenrose Dairy.
Games start August 7 at 10 a.m. and run until the World Championship on August 13. Each day features between four to five games with the first starting at 10:00 a.m. and the last at 7:00 p.m. Select games played on August 11–13 will be broadcast on ESPN 2 and ESPN 3.
