LEHI, Utah - Aug. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- After announcing the release of EyeDetect in April — the first new, viable lie detection technology since John Augustus Larson invented the modern-day polygraph in 1921 — Converus has received queries worldwide.

To help manage this technology start-up’s initial growth phase, two seasoned veterans were added to its executive team this month. Russ Warner is Converus’ new vice president of marketing and operations, and Neal Harris is now vice president of worldwide sales.

“Since our worldwide release of EyeDetect, there’s been an enormous amount of interest in this new lie detection technology,” said Converus CEO and President Todd Mickelsen. “Russ and Neal will play key roles in helping us manage our growth, especially with our initial focus on the Latin America market.”

Warner and Harris each have more than 25 years experience in the high tech industry and, like Mickelsen, speak fluent Spanish.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the Converus team in taking such a unique product to market,” said Warner. “Joining a start-up with disruptive technology backed by world-renowned inventors is any entrepreneur’s dream.”

Prior to Converus, Warner was CEO at ContentWatch, makers of Net Nanny. He’s also worked at Novell, WordPerfect and Altiris (part of Symantec). He has an MBA from Brigham Young University.

Harris has executive sales management experience with high tech start-ups and major technology suppliers, including Jive, Cisco, Brocade/Foundry Networks and Ascend. He earned a Bachelor of Science in international finance from Brigham Young University.

“I look forward to helping customers establish a ‘trust culture’ throughout their organizations by using EyeDetect’s technology,” said Harris. “My job is to demonstrate the value of Converus’ disruptive technology and how it can cost-effectively reduce corruption in the workplace.”

EyeDetect provides a detailed analysis of eye behavior via a noninvasive, true/false test that takes 30-40 minutes. Field studies show this method is 85 percent accurate. It can also be used in conjunction with the polygraph to detect deception. Converus has already established several strategic partnerships with polygraph companies worldwide who are adding this new technology as one of their service offerings.
