“It is truly an honor to care for women’s health. It is my goal to provide the most complete care for each of my patients as each one’s journey is unique.” said Dr. Menya.
It is this pursuit under the tutelage and guidance of Dr. Bonnie Buxton at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences that earned him first place poster presentation in medical school when he presented his findings after researching on “Pharmaceutical Inhibitors of Inflammatory Mediators in Matrix Metalloproteinases”
During his residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, his research for diabetes and pregnancy “Diabetic Foot Gangrene in Pregnancy with Pregestational Diabetes” received first place honors in NYSOMS (New York State Osteopathic Medical Society) poster presentation and national recognition.
He completed his medical training at Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky and then went on to become senior resident at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York.
When Dr. Menya is not at the Kaldas Center he loves to spend time with his wife and children. They love spending time outdoors (when it’s not too cold)! His family enjoys spending time together watching movies, going to museums, and attending community functions.
