The Loveland Police Department will use the transcripts as document support for case management. Completed transcripts are entered into a record management system by investigators for reporting purposes. By outsourcing its transcription services, the Loveland Police Department is able to close more cases in less time, and save tax payer dollars and departmental resources.
"We’re looking forward to helping the Loveland Police Department investigators and officers save money and resources by assisting with its transcription needs," said Transcription Outsourcing owner Ben Walker. “Law enforcement can be an extremely stressful job so being able to help take some of the stress out of officer’s day-to-day tasks is very rewarding for us and helpful for them.”
Transcription Outsourcing entered into a one year contract with four annual renewals. They were selected out of six competing transcription companies who bid on the contract.
Transcription Outsourcing serves police departments, sheriff’s offices, federal agencies, and private security firms. Ben believes organizations like the Loveland Police Department are choosing to outsource services like transcription because it often cheaper than hiring an in-house employee to perform the work. Additionally, he reports, businesses can use that saved money to invest in other aspects of the business. Finally, it allows a department to shift its focus from peripheral activities toward serving and protecting its citizens.
