Career Step Medical Coding Training on Track for New ICD-10 Implementation Date

PROVO, Utah - Aug. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is pleased to announce that its Professional Medical Coding and Billing curriculum is on track to have students prepared for the newly announced October 1, 2105 ICD-10 implementation date.

Career Step’s Professional Medical Coding and Billing program teaches students how to use the CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9 codes sets. Then, upon graduation, students receive an additional ICD-10 FastTrack course that teaches them to code with the new ICD-10 code set. This two-step approach prepares students to earn industry certifications—even if they graduate before the exams are transitioned to ICD-10—and to help with any dual coding their employer may be doing before or after the implementation.
