Local Entrepreneur Launches New School Uniform Company

PALM COAST, Fla. - Aug. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Palm Coast, FL – Local entrepreneur and business owner Julia Fuentes is pleased to announce that she has launched Serendipity Living LLC, a school uniform shop, just in time for the 2014/2015 school year.

Fuentes got the idea for the new business when her 5-year-old daughter Isabel got a stain on her skirt painting at school in October and she started looking for an economical replacement. “There was a limited supply of box-store uniforms by then and online the prices were a bit over what I wanted to pay for a 5-year-old,” she said. After a few conversations, she realized that this was a community problem and that there were more economically minded moms out there looking for viable options. After some research, she decided to try to purchase uniform bottoms in ‘bulk’ to save money for just a few local mothers, which launched her to become an official reseller and opening Serendipity Living LLC.

Fuentes is involved in several non-profits in Flagler County and with a ‘give back’ mentality, decided to give back to the schools with every purchase. With some schools having over 71% of their students on free and reduced lunch, a portion of every sale goes back to the school. She has also set up a ‘suspended uniform’ option for those that would like to help parents and students that can’t afford uniforms. It is based on the ‘suspended coffees’ idea – so someone can pay it forward and purchase a uniform for another student. Working with area non-profits that provide clothing to children in need such as Christmas Come True and the S.T.U.F.F. Bus, donors (that can remain anonymous) can donate money into an account and eligible families can receive the type and size they need for their children. These uniforms are offered at reduced and tax free rate; as well as donors will receive their forms for their taxes based on the charity they choose to support.

Serendipity Living offers khaki and navy scooters, jumpers, shorts, and pants with adjustable waists all year around. They also carry men’s and women’s uniforms.
