PRLog - Aug. 5, 2014 - LOS ANGELES -- Hit maker Trevor Guthrie has gone Gold with ‘This Is What It Feels Like’. Produced and released on Armin van Buuren’s album ‘Intense’ it has received overwhelming fan and radio support, and was nominated for a Grammy earlier this year.
“This Is What It Feels Like” was written by Guthrie for his friend Robert Prem who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and notwithstanding survived for two and a half years despite being given 17 weeks to live and sadly passed the morning of the Grammy’s this year during which the song was nominated for Best Dance Recording.
In response to this news Guthrie said “The whole ride has been amazing from double platinum in my home country Canada, the JUNO, and the Grammys to now the Gold in the US, it is a tremendous reflection of the meaning of the song and how it has touched everyone. I am thankful for Armin (van Buuren) for his support and collaboration as well continuing the journey with my next single.”
‘This Is What It Feels Like’ has racked up an impressive 45+ million plays on YouTube and has had impressive sales around the world. After already reaching silver in the U.K. and attaining platinum, double platinum, and gold status in multiple countries, U.S. gold is a significant milestone for the record and for Trevor Guthrie personally.
