Repossession and Property Maintenance Contractor Gains ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Certificate

BUCKINGHAM, U.K. - Aug. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Since August 2013 the company has undergone a major transformation with improved I.T. systems and processes based on an assessment of areas that required reform to improve service delivery. Simon Henry, Executive Director led the project and was the nominated Quality Manager with support from Elaine Lansdell, Operations Director. In order to understand the principles and practices of effective quality management system audits compliant with ISO 9001, Simon and Elaine successfully completed a Quality Management System auditor training course.

An ISO 9001 quality management system helps organizations continually monitor and manage quality across all operations. By conducting meaningful audits of processes to discover areas of improvement the company was able to implement a best practice framework to enhance their I.T. systems and processes.

Once rolling out of the new systems was concluded, a quality management system was created from the ground up, taking into account all current processes and making sure the I.T. system worked for the benefit of the company in terms of simplicity and effectiveness, with no compromises. Elaine’s role included appraisals, ensuring company objectives were clear and, a training needs analysis to check that staff had the required skills to meet client requirements. She also managed the development of a structured training programme for new and existing staff.

Managing Director, Arthur Foster said “Previously we had a cumbersome paper system that ran in parallel with an I.T. system which was unreliable and caused a lot of frustration. Since we have embraced continuous improvement, implemented a paperless quality management system and gained certification to ISO 9001 with BSI the benefits have been obvious. Following the restructure of the company, any issues big or small are now highlighted to top management so that corrective and preventive actions can be put in place. As our systems are cloud based, we also benefit from unsurpassed business continuity and security.”

The company has plans to expand operations in preparation for interest rate rises within the next year, which will inevitably lead to an increase in repossession volumes.
