U.S. Cybersecurity Magazine Features Authoritative Article from Top LMI Supply Chain Expert

MCLEAN, Va. - Aug. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- In a five-page article for the summer issue of United States Cybersecurity Magazine, LMI program manager Taylor Wilkerson explains the safe, proactive way to manage the supply chain associated with an information technology network.

“Understanding the supply chain is especially important for information and communication technology products because the extended and global nature of these supply chains make them vulnerable to counterfeit and malicious product insertion,” Wilkerson writes.

Currently co-chair of the Supply Chain Risk Leadership Council (http://www.scrlc.com/), Wilkerson traces the supply chain of a typical laptop to illustrate easily overlooked complexity and risk.  He then steps through a clear methodology of management assessment, action, and vigilance.

Referencing emerging standards and best practice, Wilkerson points out how to “take advantage of the work already done, to secure your supply chain, and keep the bad guys on the outside.”

Wilkerson, longtime consultant and former head of LMI’s Research Institute, has a global reputation for implementing supply chain assessment and risk mitigation strategies. This article is one of dozens chosen for publication, and his speaking engagements include the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Global Health Supply Chain Summit.

United States Cybersecurity Magazine, growing rapidly in its first year, as of June cites a print readership of 17,000, and an average of 3,000 daily web visitors.
