Bob Terry Joins RE/MAX Platinum Realty

SARASOTA, Fla. - Aug. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Realtor Robert "Bob" Terry has joined the Sarasota office of RE/MAX Platinum Realty. Previously with Coldwell Banker, he specializes in luxury single-family homes and condominiums.

A Lakewood Ranch resident, Bob moved to Florida from his native state of Michigan in 2005. With a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Alma College in Alma, Michigan, and a master's degree in Urban Planning from Wayne State University in Detroit, he went on to serve more than 40 years in community development. In Michigan, Bob worked with property owners, land developers, businesses, governmental agencies and the State of Michigan as a Community Development Specialist, in an effort to encourage economic growth.

In Florida, Bob has worked as an Americorps VISTA Volunteer, a national service program designed to fight poverty, where he created and directed a non-profit organization. He went on to work with the Manatee Community Action Agency as a Micro Enterprise Development Manager, helping low-income individuals start their own businesses.

He is active with the Manatee County Citizens Law Enforcement Academy, Lakewood Ranch Seniors and Men of Moorings, and is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
