Boost Smithtown Bartender's Chance to Win 5K

SMITHTOWN, N.Y. - Aug. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Smithtown, NY, August 5, 2014 - Edible Long Island and Edible Manhattan reached out to bartenders from Montauk to Manhattan and asked them to reinvent traditional cocktails and create seasonal cocktails using Hendrick’s gin early this June.

Twenty-five professional bartenders/mixologists responded to the challenge and entered The Great Summer Cocktail Contest. Ten contestants are from Long Island, and the remaining fifteen are from Manhattan.

Coincidentally, Butera’s of Smithtown was developing a new cocktail menu. Butera’s bartender and new dad, Ryan O’Toole jumped on the opportunity to win $5,000.

Ryan entered an updated spin on the classic Tom Collins; The Cooler and an over 21 seasonal treat - Strawberry Hendrick’s Fizz Float using fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream.
