Black Women Do Workout®, LLC Announces Equity Ownership in Timbuk Fitness ™ With Andrea Kelly of VH1

CHICAGO - Aug. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Black Women Do Workout®, LLC (BWDW) www.BWDWO.com the revolutionary online fitness company that entertains  close to one million social media and website community followers who engage in unfiltered raw health news topics, culinary advice, national athletic events and real life before and after stories today announced  it has acquired equity interest in Timbuk Fitness™  www.timbukfitness.com.

Black Women Do Workout® CEO and Founder Crystal Adell says this acquisition will help grow their robust social media fitness movement by combining it with extraordinary live national fitness events. “We are very pleased to build upon our strategic partnership with Timbuk and believe that by combining resources we will lead the fitness world in developing and promoting innovative strategies for weight loss, better health, and longevity. In addition, we will be addressing public health concerns associated with the soaring obesity rate among African American women as reported by the Centers for Disease Control, (CDC). These health risks include heart disease, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure” she said.

Crystal Adell will continue to manage BWDW’s corporate initiatives in addition to maintaining the responsibilities as Creative Director for Timbuk Fitness™. “Crystal is truly a leader in the fitness movement and a creative force,” said Timbuk creator Diadié Bathily (pronounced Jah-Jay BAH-chee-LEE) who has danced professionally for over 30 years on stages in Africa, Europe and North America. Diadié is a world renowned dancer, choreographer and instructor. “Her involvement will add another dimension to Timbuk’s product brand marketing and its online instructor certification program,” Rachel Armstrong, President of Timbuk Fitness™ added.  “She will also assume the responsibilities of art director and editor for Timbuk’s social media content and promotion of our events,” said Armstrong.

Andrea Kelly, star on VH1’s hit reality series ‘Hollywood Exes,” is the official spokeswoman for Timbuk Fitness™. Andrea gained popularity as a dancer, choreographer and creative director for performances on world tours, music videos, and award shows with ex-husband performer R. Kelly.  “This incredible fitness program is good for the body and the soul, said Andrea, and I am beyond excited to represent a revolutionary new fitness movement that brings African Dance and culture to fitness centers and homes nationwide,” Kelly added.

BWDW has had past and existing partnership agreements with Lifetime Fitness 2015 Commitment Day 5k Run and is the Fitness Partner for Heart & Soul Mag/TV. “Our objectives with our current partnership agreements and joint ventures such as Timbuk African Dance Fitness will help meet the demands of BWDW’s demographic and provide solutions to reduce the obesity rate in the U.S. With Timbuk, our goal is to bring awareness of African Dance exercises and their online instructor training to mostly underserved communities where health risks and obesity are prevalent,” said Crystal Adell. “It is my personal mission to change obesity statistics globally by introducing fun and exciting new fitness challenges that encourage lifestyle changes that shape a healthier world for us all,” she added.
