PRLog - Aug. 5, 2014 - OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. -- THE OLD SAYBROOK FIRE DEPT will celebrate its 90th anniversary with a family-friendly celebration on the Town Green on Tuesday, August 26th, that is open to the community and will feature complimentary food, beverages and entertainment

The Fire Department, which was established on Tuesday, August 26, 1924, will provide hamburgers and hot dogs while the Old Saybrook Super Stop & Shop will provide water and soda. Those attending should bring something to share (side salads, dips, desserts, etc.) as part of a community potluck dinner on the green. The evening's events will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition to the food and beverages, The Big Six Band and Save the Train will provide musical entertainment at the town's gazebo on the Town Green. The Old Saybrook Fire Headquarters will offer an Open House to allow all those attending the anniversary to tour the station and see the various pieces of firefighting equipment.
Everyone is encouraged to bring chairs or a blanket to sit and enjoy the concert on the Town Green.
