Capitol City Bratwurst
PRLog - Aug. 4, 2014 - ARLINGTON, Va. -- Nothing screams summer more than hot dogs and suds. Capitol City Brewing Company at Shirlington Village is dressing up these seasonal favorites by celebrating both National Root Beer Float Day (August 6) and National Bratwurst Day (August 16) with specialty-themed items on each “holiday.” The delicious Root Beer Float treat made with homemade root beer and vanilla ice cream will be served all day for only $5. For a more grown up version, guests can try the Porter Float made with Capitol City’s own Prohibition Porter for $7 or with Jägermeister, Stoli Vanilla, Kahlua or Crown Royal for $9.

For National Bratwurst Day, Capitol City will offer a Brat & Beer Platter Combo for $20. Two scrumptious bratwursts cooked in a Porter marinade with a choice of one topping (sautéed peppers & onions, sauerkraut, swiss cheese or red cabbage kraut), choice of two sides (brew fries, seasonal vegetables, smashed potatoes, coleslaw or rice), and a choice of one core beer (Capitol Kolsch, Amber Waves, Pale Rider or Prohibition Porter).
