We will have theLerum Family jumping. Andy Lerum, Lifeguard Lieutenant. was one of the first San Diego Junior Lifeguard instructors, will be jumping with his children one a current seasonal lifeguard, the other a junior lifeguard Intern for the City Lifeguard Service. Also jumping this year will be two junior lifeguards who drowned and were brought back to life by San Diego City Fire-Rescue personnel.

San Diego Junior Lifeguard Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of aquatic safety through the many programs it supports including Waterproofing San Diego which includes aquatic safety education in the classroom, learn to swim for free programs and a day at the beach learning about ocean safety for underserved youth, and scholarships for disadvantaged family participation in the San Diego City Junior Lifeguard Program each summer.
