The core function of BountyBanker is to promote campaign building and establish financially backed pools of potential consumers based on campaign banks built on crowd-funding. The number of contributing users, and amount funded to campaign banks are publicized to reflect the popularity and interest of a proposed project for a product or service.

Funded campaign banks act as rewards, known as bounty, motivating other users and organizations, with the capabilities for completing projects, to deliver products and services in exchange for potential payout of the bank. Individuals and organizations have the ability to submit their candidacy for taking on a campaign via submission forms located on campaign pages.

BountyBanker has received approval as a legitimate web application and business platform by PayPal.com. An approved PayPal API enables the BountyBanker platform to process preapproved payments and payouts through PayPal.com. BountyBanker takes advantage of this service by treating user funding contributions as preapprovals. This means that a contribution is only a preapproval, and a transaction of funds does not occur unless a campaign is successful. Campaign success is contingent on the receipt, and BountyBanker approval, of content that has been submitted by a user or organization.
