ARTportunity Knocks To host BACKpack-2-School Giveaway at Centennial Park

ATLANTA - Aug. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Artportunity Knocks will be giving away BRAND NEW Backpacks and school supplies during the Praise in the Park event hosted by Praise 102.5/102.9 radio station and sponsored by Nissan South. The BACKpack-2-School Giveaway event will be at Centennial Park and tickets for Backpacks will begin at 11 a.m at the Nissan South tent. In order to redeem the tickets, parents must be there with their child. Limit one backpack per child. Among the supplies being given out: New Backpacks, Notebooks, pencils, pens, glue sticks, erasers, and paper.

The BACK-2-School drive was created as a part of the mission of empowering youth through EDUCATION. Artportunity Knocks Board members and staff realized that it is impossible for kids to be successful in school if they do not have the necessary tools to be successful. They raised the funds through an online campaign and received a generous donation from Sam’s Club of Marietta to make up the difference! “It’s the community partnerships we’ve forged that makes the dreams of hundreds of kids come true every year,” says Chris Woods, Co-Founder and Board Member of Artportunity Knocks.
