BOULDER, Colo. - July 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Boulder, Colorado – July 29, 2014 – In an ongoing effort to make software internationalization (i18n) and localization (L10n) easier and integrated into development practices, Lingoport has released Globalyzer 4.5.

Key features of this release, driven by enterprise-level customers, involve Globalyzer rule-set management, and enhanced support for Android applications.

In our connected world, supporting worldwide customers is increasingly critical to technology-focused companies. It’s important to streamline what can be a complex and delayed process of adapting software so ongoing development can quickly be released while supporting diverse languages and other cultural formats, like dates, calendars, sorting, currency and more.

The Globalyzer Suite of products works together to monitor, manage and fix i18n issues that prevent or impede companies from releasing global-ready software. It also monitors and manages changes to interfaces so that localization/translation can be efficiently updated and integrated into rapid and ongoing development efforts common with agile methodologies.

Globalyzer uses a rules-based system to customize analysis of software applications, so that high quality product globalization status can be managed and shared among development and localization teams. These rule sets are an essential link particularly for large enterprise customers, many with thousands of software products.  Globalyzer 4.5 adds rule-set inheritance and comparisons, so that globalization teams can get new products integrated faster and more accurately.

Additionally, Globalyzer 4.5 includes refined Android support for Java so that developers targeting Android platforms can get immediate results with a minimum of configuration needed. Globalyzer also supports Objective C for Apple’s iOS.

“We worked in cooperation with some of our largest enterprise customers, like Paypal, Intuit and Intel, on what would help them get new teams set up faster and measuring globalization requirements. Rule sets are the backbone of how teams deal with the specifics of their programming languages, company standards and unique aspects of each software project,” explained Adam Asnes, Lingoport’s CEO.  “Companies are battling with maintaining multiple mobile interfaces, which compounds globalization support. That makes for a compelling area to streamline software internationalization and localization for ongoing development.”
