Designer Alex Blas to Headline New Girl Expo Fashion Show

LOS ANGELES - July 31, 2014 - PRLog -- After debuting his collecting last season during LA Fashion Week, designer Alex Blas is on a mission to maintain the momentum. While showing only a few pieces from his collection Blas was ranked one of fashion week's top designers, receiving national press and making local headlines. The feedback from both the media and fashion industry has been incredible.

This November Alex Blas will debut an entire womenswear collection through both a Fashion Show and Showroom Experience. Like most of Alex's work this collection is timeless. His inspiration came from Dolores Del Rio (a Hollywood goddess in the early 1900's). During the 1920’s Dolores was considered one of the most beautiful women of her time she was also one of the most important female figures of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. With this in mind Alex Blas continues to hand crafting each piece with a technical esthetic and beautiful fabrics.

Alex Blas is an artist turned designer. He was born in 1978 in Mexico City and received his degree in 1999 from Santa Ana College. His artwork has been shown at the Lyons Weir Gallery in New York, the George Billis Gallery in Los Angeles, as well as Manifest Equality in Los Angeles, and at the Legends of La Cienega (sponsored by Elle Décor magazine). Blas currently lives and works in Northern California, where he is actively designing his collection to debut at the New Girl Expo on November 8th in Los Angeles.
