Samsung C&T Tops in Construction Capacity Evaluation in Korea

July 30, 2014 - PRLog -- SEOUL – Samsung C&T Corporation ranked the first in Construction Capacity Evaluation, announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea on July 31, 2014. The company climbed up from the second place on last year’s list.

An increased performance in its overseas projects mainly contributed to Samsung C&T’s top ranking. Those projects include the following: Roy Hill mining project in Australia, Qurayyah IPP project in Saudi Arabia and the semiconductor plant construction project in China. The company’s stable financial status, brand credibility based on clients’ trust, recruitment of highly skilled personnel and commitment to R&D also played an important role in the positive evaluation.

The Construction Capacity Evaluation ranking is announced every year by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, based on contract records, financial status, technological competence and brand credibility of construction companies. In 2014, a total of 10,082 builders in Korea were subjects of evaluation.
