ANN ARBOR, Mich. - July 30, 2014 - PRLog -- On Saturday, August 2nd, at 4:00 pm, the Guinness International Champions Cup will begin at the University of Michigan Stadium, featuring Manchester United and Real Madrid, two of the most popular professional soccer teams in world.  Golden Limousine International will be providing bus services on August 2nd, beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until 4:30 pm, with two pick-up locations, Briarwood Mall and Skyline High School. The locations are offering complimentary parking to all shuttle participants and the cost of round trip passage is $20. Golden will be offering post-game returns until 8:00 pm.  It is highly suggested that participants pre-register for the round-trip transportation at www.goldenlimo.com/bighousesoccer.

“We are excited about the opportunity to host two of soccer’s premier clubs at Michigan Stadium,” said Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon in a release. “This is a rare chance for the Ann Arbor community and thousands of soccer fans in and around the southeast Michigan area to watch elite level professional soccer. This event will have a positive economic impact on the city of Ann Arbor and the state of Michigan and will continue to extend the Michigan brand internationally,” as reported by MLIVE.

As with all things U of M, the challenge is to host the largest attended U.S. soccer game by beating the current record of 101, 799 which was set in 1984 at the Rose Bowl during the Olympic Games. “It will be a very busy day for us, very similar to a U of M Football game, although there will be a lot of fans visiting that are not familiar with the Ann Arbor area,” offers Jeff Holman, COO of Golden Limousine, “therefore, providing bus service from easy access locations was a given.”

On Friday, August 1, the International Champions Cup Celebration will begin at 3:00 pm and continue until 11:00 pm, on Main Street, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The event will be filled with live entertainment, hosted by Matthew Altruda from The Tree Town Sound on Ann Arbor’s 107.1.   Due to the large crowds expected, Golden Limousine International will offer bus services from Briarwood Mall to the corner of Williams Street & Main Street.  The shuttles will begin at 2:00 pm and will continue to 12:00 am, for a fee of $20 round trip, which includes complimentary parking to shuttle participants.  Details about the service can be found at www.goldenlimo.com/bighousesoccer.

This event will be very similar to the New Year’s Eve event, “The Puck Drops Here”, which was a celebration of the 2014 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic held at University of Michigan Stadium.  While the sport will be different, the excitement will be the same and Ann Arbor will once again come alive at their favorite spot – Main Street!

Charlie Stillitano, CEO of Relevant Sports, the tournament organizer, said, “This weekend in August will be more than just a game, but rather a celebration of sport and entertainment in one of the best college towns in America and we are excited to work with the AAACVB to make sure the entire community is involved.”
