System Insights Rick Moran Promoted to President

July 31, 2014 - PRLog -- System Insights (SI) announced that Rick Moran has been promoted to President and COO of the company from his current position as COO.  In this new capacity Moran will be responsible for managing all aspects of company operations. Co-Founder, Will Sobel, continues as CEO and Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.

Moran joined the company in 2013 as COO, focusing on sales and business development.  Prior to System Insights, Moran worked at TIBCO and led business development for the cloud computing product group – which was created from the acquisition of DataSynapse, Inc. While at DataSynapse from 2002 until the purchase in 2008, Moran held positions as VP of Sales and SVP of Business Development.

Moran commented, “It has been gratifying to see the customer base grow and the market gain a better understanding about the role of Big Data and the Internet of Manufacturing Things.  I am happy to assume the additional responsibilities, as System Insights is poised for significant growth for the next several years.”

Prior to DataSynapse, Moran was founder and CEO of Redpoint Software – an enterprise risk management company he sold to Barra Inc.   Before Redpoint, Moran held executive sales, business development and marketing positions at Stratus Computer and Isis Distributed Systems.
