Marpak are considered one of the UK’s leading polythene manufacturers, creating premium grade extruded products that are used by multinational corporations across the world. Their specialty is to develop premium film for protecting pallets in storage and transit, and are continuing to develop new innovative product lines every year.
According to their website;
“We realise the importance of continued development within the industry and therefore we always try to find scope for growth within our existing markets as well diversifying into new markets.”
Part of the drive for improvement includes achieving global standards, and the BRC A-Grade will improve their standing within the food industry in particular. The BRC Packaging and Packaging Materials standard is the first Standard to be officially recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative.
The BRC A-Grade Standard proves quality in food safety as well as proficiency in supply chain management. This stamp of approval comes from highly trained auditors and certification bodies, who only accept the highest of standards. This is consistent worldwide, and is considered one of the ultimate recognitions of quality and competency.
Marpak’s Jamie Gibson says of the A-Grade Standard;
“We are delighted to have passed the BRC A-Grade Standard and are committed to continuing our drive for improvement and innovation. The team at Marpak are extremely proud of the products that we create for our clients, and it is always positive to receive this kind of recognition.”
As well as their BRC Standard, Marpak are certified ISO 9001:2008 company, highlighting their quality management systems for development of polythene products. The company is also a committed member of the PAFA trade association (The Packaging and Films Association)
