Follow on Google News | Industry Leader Chess NYC Kid Picked Up By DisneyChess NYC’s player Justus Williams has been featured in Citizen Kid, an online segment for the Disney Channel.
By: Chess NYC Chess NYC has already partnered with the Ballard-Williams family in an effort to provide Justus with the bet coaching and support available. This new partnership between Chess NYC and the Ballard-Williams Family is designed to bring the young chess player the support needed to expand his talents. According to Chess NYC Director, Russ Makofsky, this partnership is intended to help Justus get support to put him “en route to even greater (chess) achievement than his already miraculous accomplishments.” According to the Chess NYC Co-Director Michael Propper, the organization believes that having Justus spend time with the organization in youth events and training, other aspiring Masters in the program. The co-director also believes there is great benefit in the team members being given exposure to Justus’ exemplary performance and skill level. Justus’ mother, Latisha Ballard weighed in saying “We are very, very proud of Justus and believe that by aligning Justus with the fine, focused and thoughtful leadership of Michael and Russ that we are providing Justus with every advantage and the very best opportunity to reach the top of the Chess world.” Justus will be appearing on the Disney Channel’s online Citizen Kid program throughout the month and will continue to be the face for the Chess NYC program.
