Randall Jobe Appeared on "Make It Happen With David Lorms"

HOUSTON - July 29, 2014 - PRLog -- The "Make It Happen With David Lorms" Internet Radio Show on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 interviewed guest Randall Jobe, of Public Relations. Promotions and Events with night clubs in the Montrose, and Actor, Singer, Director and Comedian.

After high school and a few years in Junior College, where he excelled in drama, this Clute, TX native moved to Houston to explore more opportunities in the Theater. He soon found parts in Dinner Theater, Miller Outdoor Theater and hosting various events, such as Karaoke and Talent Night in the night clubs. "I was popular with the audience, but not with some of the singers", Jobe said referring to his biting humor. "There are so many people who think they can sing".

"I was always the entertainer in my family" Jobe says. However, much of his material comes from stories about his late mother. Jobe said "She was a comedian in her own right. So much of my own sense of humor came from her and my father. When I was about to be punished I could make him laugh".

One highlight of his theater career was when he was playing Ninfa Lorenzo, of Ninfa Mexican Restaurants, where he signed tortillas and threw them into the crowd. One night, Ninfa herself was in the crowd and caught the first tortilla. She was so delighted that she signed a tortilla for Jobe. "She loved it! We had no shame in those days", said Jobe.

It hasn't been all laughs for Jobe, suffering from illnesses from an infection after visiting a nail salon to kidney failure and dialysis. Yet, he has managed to maintain his positive attitude and sense of humor. His motto is "You should always be laying the foundation and networking because you just never know who will remember you".

Jobe has recently resigned from his work in the night clubs to write a series of articles for The Montrose Star. The first series will be about stories of the Montrose Area. "If I write a book, I will have all the stories written down". The series will start mid August.
