SafeHaven is comprised of Kayla Saunders, Caleb Bolen, and Brian Sexton. The three have been leading worship together at a large youth group near their hometown in Beckley, WV. SafeHaven is now the fourth artist signed to the Verb Records label imprint of Merit Music Group, LLC and is the label’s first female-fronted band.
Kayla Saunders is the band’s front-woman and has had a passion for music since she was a teenager. However, her main focus during her high school career was athletics. In fact, all of the band members were heavily involved in athletics and were even offered scholarship’
Since 2011, when her friend secretly created a YouTube account to post videos of her singing, Kayla has been gaining notoriety on her social media outlets. In fact, social media is partially responsible for their addition to the label. Verb Records co-owner Corey Brooks saw multiple clips of Kayla singing on Instagram, and the 15-second video clips caught his attention. He commented on one of them and they scheduled a meeting that very day.

SafeHaven is currently recording their debut EP at Tornado House Studios in Athens, TN. Austin Huelsbeck is producing this album, with T.K. King and Corey Brooks as co-producers;
