Albert's Table Summer Tasting Evening Success

CROYDON, U.K. - July 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Albert’s Table, the popular restaurant located in South Croydon’s popular Restaurant Quarter, has hosted yet another highly successful Tasting Evening.  These events are held to introduce the new season produce and showcase the wonderful dishes available.

Held roughly every 12 weeks, the Albert’s Table Tasting Evenings are a ‘go to’ event.  Each event is sold out prior to the evening and the feedback from guests is always wonderful.  The last event held on Wednesday 16^th July 2014 was no exception.

The format of the popular tasting events is dedicated to enabling customers to have the opportunity to explore the food and wine on offer to best effect. To start the guests enjoy sparkling wine and canapés, followed by a four-course meal and accompanying wine.

Chef and proprietor Joby Wells, starts the evening with a short introduction, and again returned at the end of the evening to answer any questions. This new format was well liked by the guests.

Alan Reynolds, a guest from Croydon said:

“Making an introduction was like great chefs do.  The duck was

cooked to perfection and matched with an excellent rioja.”

The highlight of the evening was the duck breast with beetroot and potato cake, and the  2008 Valserrano Reserva Rioja that it was matched with was excellent.

Charlotte Avery, also from Croydon said:

         “Thank you for another fantastic evening.  The Haddock (starter)

         and the dessert were my favs.  The Crab Soup was good too.”
