Triple Crowned UFC Champ and Hall of Famer Dan "The Beast" Severn to teach at The Karate School

FORT WORTH, Texas - July 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Dan Severn may have retired from professional fighting, but he hasn't retired from the sport. The UFC Hall of Fame inductee and only Triple Crowned Champ in UFC history still plays an integral role in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts by being an ambassador of good will in a sport shrouded in trash talk and unsportsmanlike conduct. Severn will be touring the Dallas / Fort Worth area teaching a series of seminars and appearing at local venues as amentor to upcoming athletes and to continue to foster the spirit of good will in the sport.

The event is being sponsored by several to include Knife and Hand to Hand Combat.com, SAS Fitness Sollutions, Gracie Gym of Plano and The Karate School in Lake Worth. The Beast Tour  will begin 14 August and run until 17 August. The tour comes to Lake Worth Texas the morning of 16 August on the heels of leaving Plano the night prior. 16 August will begin at The Karate School at 3980 Boatclub Road Suite 104 in Lake Worth Texas at 8am. There Dan will begin with a youth grappling fundamentals seminar. Adults are welcome, but  only if they have a training partner of equal size.

There will  be a meet and greet and autograph / photo session immediately after the training session and then the adult class begins. This is where Dan will teach the grappling style that made him a sensation in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. Again there will be autographs and photos following and another  session beginning at 11am with a Sports and Conditioning specialist Seth Spradling of SAS Fitness Sollutions. The morning will roll into lunch with lunch available at the seminar for purchase and more photos and autographs. Dan will have tables set up with his belts on display. Space will be limited to no more than 50 participants at each seminar so that means those wanting to participate should register immediately.

Andrew Curtiss, the promoter for this event will be making registration available on his website Knife and Hand to Hand Combat.com as well as at the door.

At this time there has not been an after seminar get together scheduled but it is notable that later on the evening of the 16th Fox will be airing a live UFC fight with Bader v. St. Preux as the headline. "The build up to this fight would be a great opportunity for local Sports Bars and night entertainment venues to have Dan come in  with the belts for a promotional appearance. The former UFC Champ in the house, a Triple Crowned Hall of Fame Champ watching the fight with your patrons makes for a colossal party," says Andy Curtiss promoter for the Lake Worth Seminar and Beast Tour.

Curtiss goes on to say, "I originally wanted to bring Dan in for just the 16th. You know to help do some promotional stuff for Knife and H2H Combat.com and help tune me up a little bit before my next fight. But Dan and I are kind of extreme dudes and Dan wanted to do something Beast sized. So what started as a one day thing turned into the 2014 DFW Beast Tour!".
