PRLog - July 27, 2014 - Forbes Boat Care Ltd have come up with a new deal that is sure to appeal to many boat enthusiasts in Scotland.
With every new engine installation undertaken by Forbes Boat Care the customer will not only be shown over the installation and talked through the various components, but will also be given a free place on the next FBC 1 day marine diesel engines course as approved by the RYA. This course covers everything from the principles of diesel engines to suggested spares and what to look for in the event of a breakdown. Normally the course is £90 including course notes, a completion certificate and lunch, but to anyone buying an engine and having it fitted by FBC the course is absolutely free!
Since Forbes Boat Care started out in 2005 the business has overseen the installation of over 30 engines. Most of these have been from the ever popular Beta Marine range, but the business has also installed Volvo, Yanmar, Bukh and Mercruiser engines from 10hp up to 200hp, and FBC are also one of the few companies in Scotland to have been involved in hybrid installations. With a wealth of knowledge in the process of installing a complete new unit the business can advise from the start on anything else which might need replaced, along with items that can be retained to keep the cost of the installation down.
The diesel engine course has been running at FBC now for 5 years and has proven polular with boat owners who would like to have a bit more confidence when taking to the water. The course is open to all ages and abilities and includes some hands-on tasks with an engine.
