Few NJ Home Builders Complete Environmental "Due Diligence" Prior to Purchasing Properties ?

Many New Jersey Home buyers are shocked to find that no prior property environmental investigation was completed prior to builder purchase and now they have big environmental problems

PRLog - Jul. 27, 2014 - FREEHOLD, N.J. -- One may believe purchasing a newly constructed home is worry free.  Most builders try to save money, and think if they walk the property and do not see anything, the property is clean.  Some buyers have been troubled by poor indoor air quaility that causes severe health problems like asthma. These indoor air problems can be traced to contaminated soil and ground water. Purchasing a home on a former farm property is not free from environmental issues. Was Pesticide or Herbiside chemicals used on the property, was contaminated waste buried on the Property ?  Occasionally builders purchase properties adjacent to strip malls and gas stations.  Most builders do not test soils and ground water and contamination from adjacent properties may enter the new home structure by " Vapor Intrusion".

Environmental Systems has been providing purchaser's of commercial and residential properties with comprehensive Environmental Assessments for over 20 years. Contaminated properties can be identified prior to sale preventing occupant health issues later.
