PRLog - July 26, 2014 - TORONTO -- Songwriter and Singer Levi, aka Rasta Leeves has earned himself a successful career thanks to writing hit songs. From Miley to Marley, Levi’s lyrics have held their ground for substantial periods of time on the charts. In July, he takes his talents to new levels by recording the International Theme Song “Make Peace.”
MAKE PEACE - Small
Not looking for stage fame, Levi is simply determined to create a movement that all people, of all nationalities and all walks of life can relate to, and that is Peace. Speaking to friends in the recording studio, Levi said “we can’t do it alone, but we can do it together.”
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Levi spends a lot of time in recording studios in Los Angeles as he is one of the most sought after song writers in North America, and works with the best artists in the world. He is so good, a few of his songs have held residence on the billboard and top 100 charts; today he wants his song, “Make Peace” to do the same.
The timing of the release is symbolic. With the recent reporting of violent outbursts in several countries around the world, and media sharing stories of global citizens marching for peace, Levi and his supporters feel that if the world heard lyrics from his song, attitudes and beliefs will change. A sample of his lyrics: “you know we can’t go on like this / we should be standing together / one love one fist / cause we all be the same / but together / we can be the change / cause killing the youths is not the answer / we need to find the cure to this cancer / and leave it in the hands of the almighty Jah….” The message is simple, stop killing and start loving one another.
This song is taken from Levi’s album #AlterEgo which will be released in the Spring of 2015.
