Follow on Google News | It Might Look Like a Carnival, But It’s Church in the Park August 10th!For several years The Rock Church has held special baptism and worship services at Lake Tye Park. This year they’re going extra big with a Carnival style family fun event and everyone is welcome to attend Sunday, August 10th at 10:00am.
By: The Rock Church “We’re hoping the entire community joins us for this extra special fun-filled carnival style day. It’s a perfect time to celebrate family, friends and fresh beginnings,” The day’s activities include live music, a service message, baptisms, bouncy houses, volleyball, games and much, much more! Bring your own picnic lunch or buy a $5 meal which includes hamburger or hotdog, chips and a soda. Kettle corn, sno-cones, popcorn and cotton candy will also be available for purchase at $1 each. The Rock Church believes that water baptism is an outward expression of one’s inner faith and that it’s God’s plan for every believer to be baptized in water. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate with those who are ready to take this next step in their walk with Christ. Those wanting to join in may email info@trclife.com or sign-up on their Connect Card during Sunday services. "Two weeks before I was baptized at Dunk’d, I was diagnosed with brain tumors. I was confused and didn’t know what was going on, but I knew that God would take care of me. When Dunk’d came, I was so excited! The night before, I told my mom that God could wash away these tumors, like He washes our sins away. That I would be all better by the time I came out of the water. When I came out of the water the next day, I felt like a new person! I could feel God all around me! It was an amazing feeling! Now, almost a year later, God is healing me. He already has and it is starting to show. I loved Dunk’d and I love how God always takes care of us."
