PRLog - July 25, 2014 - LONDON -- Yacht shows are going to be one of the favourite especially for the south East Asian nations such as Thailand as a new charter yacht show has recently been announced by the organizers of the Singapore yacht show. Asia is becoming a favourite destination of yacht owners from the Mediterranean as more and more activities from participating nations such as Singapore and Thailand to as far as Taiwan had been slowly taking place. The new charter yacht show will offer a unique experience for people who are interested in exploring the marinas of the South East Asia and a rather elegant experience of spending the holidays aboard sailing mega yachts or lay in one of the luxury yacht cabins made exclusively for the guests.
The Phuket yacht haven where the charter yacht show will be held is in a strategic place that is both accessible by sea or by air. The marina is only 15 minutes away from an international airport and it also is the one of the choices preferred by most yacht owners and charter services. The Phuket yacht haven also includes different accommodation and entertainment facilities including malls, movie houses and apartments for both the captain and the crew. The place has got a private road connecting it from the airport so flying directly to the place would be possible.
The managing director of organizers Singapore yacht events, Andy Treadwell states, “After several years of really focused promotion, the numbers of yachts visiting Asia is at last becoming significant – and growing rapidly. We see this huge region – from Myanmar and the Andaman Sea, to Australasia and the Pacific Islands – as being very important for the international industry, this event is being launched with the support of all the local industry, and will help to showcase everything the Asia Pacific region has to offer as a stunning charter and cruising destination. At the same time, we want to introduce the yachting lifestyle to the fast-growing potential client base here – there is a lot of wealth, but as yet, little experience of boating.”
With the high success rate of the Singapore yacht show that was held early this year, the organizers of the show are optimistic in extending their market throughout the different regions such as in Phuket Thailand where the Phuket yacht haven is under development. The redeveloped yacht haven will be one of the largest in the South East Asia and can accommodate up to 500 guests. The marina is currently under construction and is scheduled to be finished before the end of 2014.
“For several years we have been aware of the need for a world-class superyacht marina in Phuket with all the facilities that experienced and discerning yacht owners from the Mediterranean have come to expect. We have finally been able to bring the Yacht Haven project to fruition, and we are thrilled to be able to play a major part in developing the yachting industry in Asia, with all the economic benefits that it can bring. We are delighted to be working with such an experienced and respected show organizing team, and we look forward to an excellent opening event in December 2014.” explained jean Phataraprasit, proprietor of the yacht haven.
With the show scheduled during the Christmas holiday season, a surge of tourists from all over the world especially the yacht owners and boat enthusiasts who would be visiting the place would catch a glimpse of the upcoming charter yacht show scheduled in the region.
