Celebrate National Toilet Paper Day With Boston Standard Company's Toilet Paper Drive

DORCHESTER, Mass. - July 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Boston Standard Company, a plumbing, heating and cooling firm in Dorchester, MA has partnered with FW Webb and Pine Street Inn to celebrate National Toilet Paper Day on August 26.  With the help of Boston Standard Company's customers, Boston Standard Company and FW Webb will donate toilet paper to Pine Street Inn in Boston, which provides permanent supportive housing, job training and placement, emergency shelter and street outreach to more than 1,600 Boston-area homeless men and women daily.

"Federal food assistance programs don't pay for sanitary supplies like toilet paper and soap," says Joseph Wood, owner of Boston Standard Company. "As a result, local support programs like Pine Street Inn see a high demand for these necessities, but often run short." Boston Standard Company will donate 50 rolls of toilet paper for each heating, cooling or water heater installation the company performs between now and August 26. FW Webb, the largest plumbing, heating, HVAC and industrial pipe, valves and fittings distributor in New England and New York, will match Boston Standard Company's donation, up to 500 rolls.

Boston Standard Company will also deduct $5 per-roll for every roll of toilet paper its customers donate when they call Boston Standard Company for routine services calls or maintenance services, up to $30 per visit. "National Toilet Paper Day gives us and our partners a chance to show how even simple things like toilet paper, which many of us take for granted, can frustrate efforts to overcome poverty and homelessness," says Wood.
