Investors Foundation Grants PEI Kids $3,000 for Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention Programs

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - July 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Providing programs that keep children within the Mercer County community safe from violence and abuse for the past 29 years, local nonprofit PEI Kids has received valuable financial support from Investors Foundation. PEI Kids will apply the $3,000 grant toward general operating expenses for its child abuse prevention and intervention programs.

PEI Kids is committed to protecting children by providing child abuse prevention, child sexual abuse counseling, family visitation, and gang-violence intervention services to children and their families within the Mercer County community. The agency’s aspiration for children is “Safe Kids. Sound Futures.”

At a check presentation at PEI Kids’ Lawrenceville office on Thursday, July 10, Investors Bank Vice President and Senior Market Manager Linda Martin stated, “Investors Foundation is proud to support the work of PEI Kids. PEI Kids’ efforts within our community are invaluable to the safety and well-being of our children. We look forward to our partnership with such a great agency.” Martin indicated that the Foundation was particularly impressed by the fact that PEI Kids provides child abuse prevention workshops to approximately 14,000 children in 70 schools in Mercer County each year.

At the presentation, PEI Kids Interim Executive Director Martina Davidson said, “PEI Kids is very grateful for such generous support from Investors Foundation. Such support allows our programs to thrive, as we move into our 30^th year of protecting children in our community. We cannot thank the Foundation enough for its generosity.”
