Angel Velasquez Memorial Anniversary Scholarship Fundraiser Weekend

LAS VEGAS - July 25, 2014 - PRLog -- The Project 150 Youth Council along with Metro Explorers, Rush Soccer Club, and Riderz4Life will host a series of events during the Angel Velasquez’s Legacy Lives On Memorial Anniversary Weekend.  Proceeds from the events will benefit the Project 150 Scholarship Program which awards college scholarships in Angel’s name.  Angel Velasquez was a natural leader who lived with a purpose to serve and was tragically killed by a drunk driver, August 1, 2013.  Angel was a member of the Project 150 Youth Council; Graduate of Las Vegas High School, Class of 2012; Played with Rush Soccer Club; Criminal Justice student at College of Southern Nevada; and proudly served as a LVMPD Explorer - a career field Angel was passionate about. In remembrance of Angel we will be having a memorial anniversary weekend filled with events to help His legacy live on!

Event 1: Memorial Balloon Release

Event 2: Memorial Car Wash

Saturday, August 2, 2014 7pm-5pm @ Aubuela’s Tacos, 4225 E. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89104

Event 3: Angel’s Memorial Soccer Tournament

Sunday, August 3, 2014, ALL DAY @ Walnut Park, 3820 Cecile Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89115
