“We’re glad we were able to extend Chevrolet’s commitment to spreading joyful play to the members of our community,” said Bob Cuban, Chevrolet of Homewood’s General Manager. Through Chevrolet of Homewood’s sponsorship, Homewood Baseball & Softball, Inc. was able to host a number of youth clinics featuring current and former Major League Baseball players and coaches, as well as instructors from Ripken Baseball and the MLB Players Alumni Association.
The Chevy dealer also donated new equipment, including batting tees, catcher’s gear, water bottles, equipment bags, and Chevrolet Youth Baseball T-shirts.
“We truly enjoyed being involved with Homewood Baseball & Softball Leagues Inc. this year," added Cuban. “This partnership gave us the opportunity to support the love of the game and we are thrilled to have achieved such positive results for the community.” This year, 59 Chevrolet dealerships from the Chicago area participated in the Chevy Youth Baseball program, and more than 1,600 Chevy dealers nationwide. The goal of the program is to provide a positive experience for children and local communities across the country.
Since its beginning in 2006, the Chevy Youth Baseball program has benefitted more than 3.6 million children. Those interested in learning more about the Chevy Youth Baseball program can visit, YouthSportsWired.com.
