The Chocolate 5k comes to Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio - July 24, 2014 - PRLog -- NR Road Racing will hold The Chocolate 5k in Dayton on Sunday August 17th at 9:00 AM. The event will be held at Eastwood Metropark (1385 Harshman Rd Dayton, OH 45414). Race registration is $35 for individuals and $30 per person for teams of 4 or more. There will be a $40 walk up registration fee. All ages are welcome, however, anyone 12 and older must be registered. If you are not interested in running, we strongly encourage you to volunteer! NR Road Racing presents a chocolatey good time. We are offering you sweet treats to keep you going throughout the 5k. Yes there will still be water stations, but for those of you with a sweet tooth, you can also have a little piece of joy. Enjoy a family-friendly three mile course with your friends, family, and other choc-oholic strangers. It doesn’t matter how fast or old you are; everyone is welcome to participate and join in the fun! After the race, we’ll be still partying and filling up with chocolate. You are invited to hang out and party to the music and have some more chocolate on us! Family and friends are always encouraged to join in the party at the end!

Dayton Crayons to Classrooms (DC2C) is a free store for teachers from under-funded K-12 schools that serve children living in poverty in Ohio’s Miami Valley. In partnership with local businesses, individual donors, and community volunteers, DC2C lifts at-risk children’s level and love of learning by collecting and distributing donated supplies and surplus products for use in the classroom.  Teachers from eligible schools are invited to “shop” for what they need in our retail-style free store in the Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley building in Dayton, Ohio.
