PRLog - July 23, 2014 - NEW ORLEANS -- When you meet Tori Turner, its difficult to comprehend that this well spoken, smart, beautiful, ambitious young lady is only 15 years old.
Tori Turner Headshot 2014.
Turner's long list of accomplishments are as impressive as the teen herself. The New Orleans native is an actress, beauty queen, philanthropist, motivational speaker, and author. And if that list isn't long enough, you can now add publisher.
Turner does all these things while preparing to serve as the youngest student body president at her highschool where she was accepted into the International Baccelaureate (IB) Dipoloma Program.
Turner was also recently named to Youthanasia Foundation's Future Icons of New Orleans roster which is a program supported by the Kellogg Foundation. Turner's motto is; "you are never too young to make a difference,"
Turner continues to tackle new projects to include publishing her second book, "Teen Queens: All Is Fair In Love & Pageants," under her new publishing house Reign-Drop Teen Publications which is the teen division to family owned Reign Publications. Turner will also produce and direct the accompanying book trailer along side Louisiana based, Noir Dreams Productions owner Keasha LeNoir Fairman, with hopes of her books being adapted for television.
"Producing and directing my book trailer will give me the opportunity to combine my love for writing and acting!"
The book, geared toward teen/young adult girls is all about life as a pageant queen and is loosely based on Turner's life and girls she has met along her pageant journey.
Turner's first book, "When I Decided to D.R.E.A.M. Big" an inspirational memoir encouraging youth and teens to go after their goals and dreams and never stop believing in themselves was published May 2013 under Atlanta based, Delphine Publications. This book landed Turner two nominations by the African American Literary Awards Guild (Break-Out Author of the Year and Best in Non-Fiction)
"I get so excited about what I do, and I love encouraging others to pursue their dreams too!"
"I am also really excited to start this journey as a publisher, and working with other young authors!"
"Teen Queens: All Is Fair In Love & Pageants" is set for official release on August 11, 2014 which is a very special date for Turner.
"My PaPa, Mr. Gregory Carter, passed away March 2014 and he was a major investor in my new company. I want to honor his memory by having the first book under the publishing house be released on what would have been his 62nd birthday!"
Upon official release, Turner's book will be available for purchase in paperback and E-Book at www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com.
