Daniel I. Wasserman, MD Opens New Dermatology Practice, Skin Wellness Physicians

NAPLES, Fla. - July 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Daniel I. Wasserman, MD, board certified in dermatology with a dual fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and laser and cosmetic medicine, is opening a new dermatology practice under the name of Skin Wellness Physicians. Services include general dermatology, skin cancer detection and treatment, Mohs micrographic surgery, laser and light medicine and cosmetic rejuvenation.

Dr. Wasserman recently moved from a group dermatology practice where he provided medical care for over three years to the Naples and Marco Island communities. His decision to begin a new venture is motivated by a firm belief in delivering high quality individualized health care and concern for the epidemic of skin cancer in southwest Florida.

Dr. Wasserman earned a bachelor’s degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated cum laude from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He completed his general surgery internship at Stanford University in Stanford, California and the Tufts University/Boston University Combined Dermatology residency program in Boston, Massachusetts.  He proceeded to obtain a fellowship in laser and cosmetic medicine under the tutelage of renowned physician and inventor, R. Rox Anderson, MD at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital Laser and Cosmetic Center and Wellman Center for Photomedicine. Finally, he completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery for the removal of skin cancer with minimal scarring and a 99% cure rate with Dr. Gary Monheit of the Monheit chemical peel.
