The funds raised from each property sale, combined with funds raised at the Annual Harcourts Tasmania Charity Auction in May, were presented by Tony Morrison, CEO for Harcourts Tasmania, on behalf of The Harcourts Foundation.
“As a company which has grown with the support of the Tasmanian community, we are thrilled to be able to give something back via such a worthwhile and life changing charity like the Ronald McDonald House Charities,” Mr Morrison said.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities provide a wide range of programs to help seriously ill children and their families across Australia, all focused on making the journey to recovery as easy as possible.
Mr Morrison said the Harcourts group places high importance on giving back to the community through their Harcourts Foundation quarterly grant program, “No other real estate company in the world has such a clear focus on giving back. We can proudly say that every single Harcourts office in Tasmania has contributed to this,” Mr Morrison said.
“We ensure we give back to those in need by continually raising funds via auction, fundraising events, or by donating a percentage of each sales commission through the Harcourts Foundation quarterly grant program,” Mr Morrison continued.
Launched in 2008, The Harcourts Foundation has donated $2,691,756 to charities across the globe to date.
