“The idea came about when discussing the importance of getting kids moving and active, especially in preparation for the upcoming school year,” said Ronald Watkins, a founding member of the young professionals group and Engineering Intern at Crafton Tull. Watkins went on to say “I remember how much I looked forward to camp as a way to improve my game, but also interact with kids my age in an organized and safe environment.”
The camp kicked off Monday night and hopes to gain even more participants throughout the week.
Activities will include coach taught authentic football drills, a flag scrimmage game and a pool party for participants and volunteers at the JBU swimming pool on Thursday night.
