More than 5 years ago, a Harlem Based music producer had a vision for a new way to carry and distribute his music. Frustrated by the limitations of mainstream media storage and distribution, Clem Harrigan, founder and CEO of b Tree Group, set out to create a unique and convenient way for musicians to carry their music and share songs, videos, and photos with their fans.
Clem’s dream is officially becoming a reality this summer. He received enormous support from his successfully funded kickstarter.com (http://kickstarter.com/)
campaign that began March 5th
, reaching is goal in less than a month’s time, and thus (ume) was born.
(ume) is the first, waterproof bracelet embedded with flash drive technology. (ume) users can now wear their files in a functional and fashionable manner with endless possibilities, “One woman even called us asking how to lock files on the drive because she was giving a bracelet to her husband with some ‘mature self photography’
embedded. She wanted to make sure it was for his eyes only. I loved that one.”
(ume) began with the classic “Vintage” model which after several design changes expanded (ume) to the three design product line it is today. The “Seamless”
combined with its sleek design and color options of white, ice blue, or black lends itself to a futuristic aesthetic. The “Millennium”
model is an origami inspired bracelet packed with a punch offered in gold, black, and red. The “Vintage” is only offered with 8GB of storage the “Seamless”
are offered in either 8GB or 16GB.
